Important Legal Disclaimer

This platform is provided for informational and organizational purposes only and does not provide legal advice. The platform is not a law firm and does not replace consultation with a licensed attorney. Users should consult a qualified attorney for legal advice regarding their specific situation.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, including:

  • Account information: name, email address, and encrypted password.
  • Custody records: incidents, expenses, children information, cases, contacts, court orders, and evidence records that you choose to enter.
  • Calendar and scheduling data: calendar events, court dates, and deadline information.
  • Communication logs: co-parent messages and communication records you enter for documentation purposes.
  • Consent records: timestamp of your agreement to Terms of Service, IP address at time of consent, and version of terms accepted.
  • Usage data: login timestamps, IP addresses, and session information necessary for account security.
  • Payment information: billing details processed securely through our third-party payment processor (Stripe). We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide to:

  • Operate and maintain your account and the Platform's features.
  • Provide the organizational and documentation features of the Platform.
  • Generate reports, timelines, and summaries based on your entered data.
  • Provide AI-powered features such as court order summarization and message adjustment (your data is processed through our AI provider and is not used to train AI models).
  • Process subscription payments and manage billing.
  • Remember your preferences and settings.
  • Communicate with you about your account, service updates, or support requests.

3. Prohibited Sensitive Personal Information

This Platform is intended for documentation and case organization purposes. It is not intended to store sensitive personal identifiers. Users must redact the following information from all documents prior to upload:

  • Social Security numbers
  • Driver's license numbers
  • Passport numbers
  • Financial account numbers and credit/debit card numbers
  • Health insurance identifiers
  • Tax identification numbers
  • Other government-issued identification numbers

The Platform may remove or restrict access to content that is found to contain prohibited sensitive identifiers. Users who repeatedly upload prohibited content may have their accounts suspended or terminated in accordance with our Terms of Service.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely on hosted servers with industry-standard protections including:

  • Encrypted database connections (SSL/TLS).
  • Hashed and salted password storage — we never store your password in plain text.
  • Session-based authentication with secure, HTTP-only cookies.
  • Role-based access controls limiting administrative access to account metadata only.

However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You acknowledge and accept the inherent risks associated with storing sensitive data online.

5. Data Sharing — We Do Not Sell Your Data

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We do not share your custody records, case information, uploaded evidence, or personal content with any third party, including attorneys, courts, or government agencies, except:

  • When legally required: We may disclose information in response to lawful court orders, subpoenas, warrants, or other legal processes (see Section 6).
  • Service providers: We use limited third-party service providers to operate the Platform, including Stripe for payment processing and AI providers for AI-powered features. These providers only receive the minimum data necessary to perform their function and are bound by their own privacy policies.
  • With your consent: If you explicitly choose to share information, such as generating an attorney case package for your lawyer.

6. Attorney Directory

The attorney directory is a reference tool only. We do not share your information with listed attorneys unless you choose to contact them directly. Attorney listings do not constitute endorsements or recommendations.

7. Subpoena, Court Orders, and Legal Requests

The Platform may be required to comply with lawful court orders, subpoenas, warrants, or other legal requests from courts, law enforcement agencies, or government authorities. In such cases, we may disclose stored information, account data, or uploaded content as legally required. We will make reasonable efforts to notify affected users of such requests unless prohibited by law or court order from doing so.

8. Data Retention and Account Deletion

We retain your information for as long as your account is active. We do not delete the data in an active account.

When you request account deletion from the Settings page, the following 30-day process applies:

  • Your account immediately enters a pending-deletion state and is scheduled for permanent deletion 30 days later. During this period, normal access to your cases and records is paused.
  • At any time within those 30 days, you may restore your account yourself from the app to cancel the deletion and regain full access.
  • On the scheduled date, your account, all of your stored records, and all of your uploaded files are permanently and irreversibly deleted from our databases and our file storage.
  • After permanent deletion, we retain only a minimal, content-free audit record (for example, that an account was deleted and when) as required for security and compliance. This record contains no case content.
  • Residual copies may persist in encrypted backups for a limited period as part of our disaster-recovery procedures, after which they age out.
  • Anonymized, aggregated statistical data (e.g., total platform usage counts) may be retained indefinitely.

9. Sensitive Personal Data (Texas Data Privacy and Security Act)

This Platform is designed to help you document a child custody matter. By its nature, the information you store may include sensitive personal data under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA), including information that reveals data concerning children, health or medical information, and precise geolocation data.

When you create an account, we ask for your express opt-in consent to process this sensitive personal data for the sole purpose of organizing and documenting your case. We process this data only to provide the Platform's features to you; we do not sell it and we do not use it for targeted advertising. You may withdraw this consent by deleting your account, which removes your data as described in the section above.

10. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate information through your account settings.
  • Delete your account and associated data at any time through the Settings page.
  • Export your data in a readable format using the data export feature.
  • Request information about what data we hold about you by contacting us through the Platform's support channels.

11. Cookies

We use session cookies to maintain your login state and ensure secure authentication. We may use privacy-focused product analytics supplied through our hosting platform to understand aggregate feature usage and improve reliability. We do not use advertising or third-party analytics cookies.

12. Children's Privacy

This Platform is not intended for use by children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. Information about your minor children entered into the Platform as part of custody case management is handled with strict confidentiality and is never shared with third parties except as described in this policy.

13. Third-Party Services

The Platform integrates with the following third-party services:

  • Stripe: For secure payment processing. Stripe's privacy policy governs their handling of your payment information.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or through the Platform interface. Your continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
